Joyce Brown is a public health and food sovereignty advocate. She is currently the Director of Programmes and Lead on Hunger Politics work at Health of Mother Earth Foundation, (HOMEF) Nigeria. She has worked extensively with the team at HOMEF to resist the entrenchment of GMOs in Nigeria and the overall corporate capture of the Nigerian food system. She coordinates the youth working group of the Alliance for Food Sovereignty in Africa and is also on the Board of the Alliance. She co-coordinates the Alliance for Action on Pesticides in Nigeria. Joyce holds a Bachelor's degree in Microbiology and a Masters degree in Public Health. She has over 9 years of experience in project management with expertise in research, communication and advocacy.
