Hello, I'm Landing!

I am an Agricultural Engineer, agroecology trainer, project evaluator, and researcher dedicated to advancing sustainable and climate-resilient food systems across Africa. I am the Founder and President of ECO-IMPACT Senegal, a youth-led organization that promotes agroecology, biodiversity conservation, and community resilience through training, awareness-raising, and local development initiatives. As an agroecology trainer, I have supported young people, women, and persons with disabilities in adopting sustainable agricultural practices and climate-smart farming practices. I am also a member of the Emerging Evaluators Thematic Group within SENEVAL (Senegalese Evaluation Association), where I contribute to strengthening evidence-based evaluation and development effectiveness. At the international level, I engage with networks focused on agroecology, climate leadership, and naturals resources governance, including as a Youth Representative with the FAO World Food Forum. My experience across Africa reflects my commitment to bridging research, policy, and community action to foster sustainable development.

My Story

My inspiration comes from a deep belief that sustainable development begins with empowered communities. Throughout my academic and professional journey, I have witnessed the challenges posed by climate change, environmental degradation, and food insecurity to rural populations, particularly in Africa. At the same time, I have seen the remarkable resilience, knowledge, and determination of local communities to create positive change. These experiences inspired me to dedicate my career to agroecology, sustainable food systems, and community development. I am driven by the conviction that agriculture should not only produce food but also protect biodiversity, strengthen livelihoods, and contribute to climate resilience. Through research, training, project evaluation, and community engagement, I strive to transform knowledge into practical solutions that improve people's lives. What motivates me most is seeing young people, women, and local communities gain the skills, confidence, and opportunities needed to become leaders of change. Through my work with ECO-IMPACT Senegal and my involvement in international networks, I seek to bridge science, policy, and grassroots action to promote sustainable and inclusive development. Ultimately, I am inspired by the possibility of helping build a future where people and nature thrive together, and where the next generation is empowered to lead the transition toward more resilient, equitable, and sustainable food systems.d what your site has to offer.
